1. Rain
Rain is one of the top disasters that have been known to occur during a wedding. You may think the weather is going to be absolutely perfect, with blue skies and not a cloud in sight, but even weather forecasters are often wrong. Taking this into consideration, you can avoid a complete disaster at your wedding, by ensuring that you can hold your ceremony indoors if it starts to rain, even if you were planning on having it outside. It is well worth the extra cost. If you want, you can even rent a tent to place above the area if you still plan on having your wedding outdoors. You and your guests will be thankful for it.
2. Backup Music
If your DJ, band, or other entertainment cancels at the last minute, or doesn’t show up at all, this can certainly spell disaster for your wedding. Even if you have signed a contract, things can happen that prevent your entertainment from attending your big day. Just in case of such an emergency, you should always have a backup plan intact for your wedding. Bring, or have someone bring an iPod, iPod dock, laptop, speakers, and other items in the event that it happens to you. That way, everyone will still have music to enjoy at the wedding.
3. Ring Damage
One of the last things you want to deal with on your wedding day is that your ring suffers damage. If a gem in your ring becomes loose or chipped, this can spell disaster and may even seem like a bad omen to your marriage. However, you can rely on ring repair from a professional jeweler at a later time, if need be, and all will be fine.
4. Stained Dress
One disaster that can have brides seeing red is a stain on her dress. Always prepare for such a dilemma, as it is usually not that difficult to cover up a stain on your wedding dress. Make sure to have club soda and lemon available, as the combination of the two dabbed on the stain can usually clear it right up.
5. Wedding Cake
No matter what kind of wedding cake you have ordered, it is absolutely essential to keep it in a refrigerator until you are ready to cut and serve it. Too often, the cake is left out at weddings, and ends up melting because it is outside in hot weather, or in a room that is too warm. This is one of the most avoidable disasters, as you can keep a small fridge nearby or even a cooler to protect the cake before and after serving it.
When you are prepared for any or all of these disasters, you can relax and enjoy your special day even more.
