Wrinkles: If You Can’t Beat Them – Treat Them

Wrinkles Treat

Ah, wrinkles – the eternal enemy of beauty. I will never forget the day when my mom told me that I should start using an anti-wrinkle cream. I was in utter shock, since I had not been aware of them, or at least the fact that they showed so much. Since then, a facial mask and an anti-wrinkle cream have become a part of my routine.

While it’s impossible to entirely stop what aging does to the skin, the process can be slowed down to an extent if you use the right products. One of the most prominent reasons for wrinkling is that you don’t have enough proteins in your skin. The proteins that I am specifically talking about are elastin and collagen.

These proteins are both very important because they act as fibers that help give structure to and maintain the integrity of your skin. They also boost the elasticity of your skin and give you that young and healthy glow, because your skin will look firm and tight. However, the lack of these proteins will lead to facial wrinkling.

Collagen Levels & Wrinkles

Increasing your natural stores of collagen can make your skin look younger, and doing this is easy if you know the best ingredients. Collagen is a type of fibrous protein that gives the skin structure and shape. It keeps the layers of the skin connected and it prevents the skin from sagging. However, your body will produce less collagen as you age, which causes lines to manifest.

Ingredients and Foods that Prevent Lines and Wrinkles

The two primary things that you should focus on if you want to prevent wrinkles are vegetables and fruits. Lean meats can also be beneficial if they have a high amount of Omega 3 fatty acids. These lean meats, surprisingly, contain antioxidants that remove free radicals and fix their damage. They also flush out toxic materials. This gives you a consistent and healthy skin tone. Eating the right food allows you to naturally reverse the effects of aging.

Olive Oil and Wrinkles

Olive oil has many health benefits, but we aren’t talking about eating it. Can applying olive oil to the skin actually reduce wrinkles? The answer is yes if you apply the oil to common problem areas (the eyes, mouth and forehead) and if you do it correctly.

Super Foods

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last 10 years, then you must have heard the term “super foods” at least once. These foods are most commonly used when talking about weight loss and combating diseases and illnesses, but the truth is that they can also help with lines and wrinkles.

Here are just a few foods that are effective at preventing and reducing wrinkles:

  • Carrots
  • Spinach
  • Kelp
  • Tomatoes
  • Bell Peppers (orange are the best)
  • Grapes (purple or red are the best)
  • Blueberries

Other Helpful and Effective Ingredients

Kaolin

This unique ingredient comes specifically from New Zealand, so you may not have heard about it until now. This is beneficial for your skincare practice, because it has been shown to remove dirt, oil and other foreign particles from your skin.

Nano-Lipobelle H EQ10

OK, OK, the name is somewhat awkward, but it’s a new form that has many additional benefits. One of its main features is that it helps to firm your skin and combat wrinkles. Firming creams with Nano-Lipobelle H EQ10 will dive much deeper into the skin to increase your natural production of elastin and collagen, which is essential for firm and healthy skin.

Phytessence Wakame

While this ingredient has an odd name, this unique kelp has many amazing benefits for your skin. The main benefit that it has is that it improves elasticity in the skin, making it the perfect pair for firming creams.

Wrinkle injections and dermal fillers

Wrinkles are result of age, genetics and lifestyle. Correct lifestyle, nutrition, avoiding sun exposure and maintaining skin hygiene will result in pretty and healthy skin look. In cases of very deep wrinkles, it is possible to use filling materials after consulting a doctor, of course.

The most common material for injecting into wrinkles is Botox. The Botox has been known worldwide from 1920, but only since 2000 has it started to gain massive use in the world of aesthetic medicine.

What Botox actually does is it paralyzes the tiny muscles of the face. Several portions are injected using a very thin needle into the area of the muscle desired to be paralyzed. This is done for a few seconds only and a local anesthesia gel may be used in order not to feel the needle. Usually the injected area is cooled down by ice bags. After 3-4 hours you can return to your routine life.

Radio Frequency Treatments

This method uses radio frequency (RF), which is heating the wrinkles around the edges and thus tightens the skin and stimulates the area to generate more Collagen fibers for making the skin more elastic.

In closing

Reducing wrinkles and maintaining younger-looking skin is possible. It all depends on the type of products and ingredients you choose.
